For the original track…“I’m releasing my new song “Queer POC” on December 23rd because it takes that holiday emptiness, rejection, and insecurity by the hand, crushes it down into glitter, and blows the glitter into the air, creating a shimmering illusion of wonder.”
For the remix…I had to create a song that recognized challenges that come with “queer” and “BIPOC.” Franco-Norwegian disco-dub producer, Loud Lemons, showed enthusiasm for the track. He loved the lyrics about the challenges, pride, and strength of queer POC. “We've been collaborating for a long time and I was very proud and happy to be invited to do a dub version of this track.”
